Bits and Bods was born when a bunch of young women decided to change the conversation around puberty and sex. Talking to other young people, we realised that everyone had a common experience: woeful sex ed that left us feeling abnormal and alone.
Se we decided to shake things up, and give teens the kind of info we wish we’d had back then.
“I think queer is a word that helps you create a space for newness and being not normal. I love not being normal, wherever possible.”
DANI
“Sex is so much more magical than just penis in vagina”
CASEY
“Fanny farts … no one ever warned you about those.”
NISHA
We’ve brought together a group of diverse young people, who’ve survived the hot mess that is teenagedom, to share their stories. They’re honest and funny, without shying away from the serious stuff too.
Each edisode is reviewed by a board of young women working in the fields of sexual health, gender equality, youth work, and medicine to make sure that our info is inclusive and accurate. Our interviewees sign off on their contributions.
